Macross Frontier: Sheryl Nome 06
Despite being a proud and self-assured person, Sheryl recognizes Ranka Lee's singing talent and offered to help her behind the scenes in order to realize her dream of singing. Ozma and the rest of the S.M.S. deserters found a photograph in the remains of the 117th fleet suggesting that Sheryl is Dr. Mao Nome’s biological granddaughter and that her fold quartz earrings were inherited from her. It also suggests that her mother fell on hard times shortly after the death of her grandmother.
Very impressive cosplay of Sheryl from Comiket 2010! I love the colors of her hair and outfit, and the photography is absolutely stunning as well! Thanks to Dallia for sending this!

2011 Cosplay Calendar for Charity
When Natalie Parisi sent me an email regarding a 2011 Cosplay Calendar for Charity, I had to admit, I was quite skeptical at first. Mainly because I’ve had many requests like this in the past, and none seemed legitimate aside from this one:
25% of the final sale price will support Room to Read (Small deduction may apply. Learn more about eBay Giving Works)
About this nonprofit:
Room to Read seeks to transform the lives of millions of children in developing countries by focusing on literacy and gender equality in education. Working in collaboration with local communities, partner organizations and governments, we develop literacy skills and a habit of reading among primary school children, and support girls to complete secondary school with the relevant life skills to succeed in school and beyond. This is an eBay Giving Works charitable listing (Administered by MissionFish)
Featured Cosplayers: Astarohime, Rei (Malro-doll), Ryoko (Ryoko-demon), Lune, Astellecia, Siera (Clamwings), K (K-chan009), Lillyxandra, Konoe, love-squad, Nek (neko-tin), Nichi, Green-Makakas, Kaikida
You can buy this calendar from Natalie’s Ebay… and if you do decide to buy one, please let me know how it turns out~ ^_^
Oh, and can anyone tell me which series the cosplayers are from so I can tag this in my blog properly please? I can only name a few… Thank you so much!

Macross Frontier: Ranka Lee 03
A lively, cheerful and naive teenage girl, Ranka Lee is referred to as the “Little Queen” by Grace O’Connor due to her connection to Vajra. Her songs tend to confuse the Vajra and Ranka feels severe pain whenever large amounts of Vajra are killed within her vicinity. She and her bodyguard, Brera Sterne, left Macross Frontier for a time in order to deliver her Vajra pet “Ai-kun: to the rest of its species.
Looks like Ranka’s not a teenager anymore in this cosplay. Thanks again, Jamie!

Macross Frontier: Sheryl Nome 04
In the prequel manga, Sheryl is revealed to be the daughter of a couple residing in Macross Galaxy who actively opposed mandatory cybernetic implants by the government. They were ordered to either be captured dead or alive by the authorities for treason. Her parents were killed for their resistance, leaving Sheryl to spend a part of her childhood in poverty until she met Grace O’Connor.
Beautiful cosplay! This probably took a long time to put together, with such amazing results. Thanks Lain for the photo!

Macross Frontier: Sheryl Nome 03
When Sheryl Nome found out that she was terminally infected with “V-Type”, she was crushed and almost quit singing altogether. Saotome Alto encouraged her not to give up hope and Luca Angelloni discovered that her infection gave her similar abilities to Ranka Lee’s in producing fold waves through her singing. It was during the final battle that Ranka was able to cure Sheryl’s infection which resulted in giving Sheryl the same capabilities as Ranka to link up with the Vajra through singing.
Awesome cosplay! And you can see the Gurren Lagann cosplayers, Kamina and Yoko Littner, in the background in this photo. I spy a Misty cosplayer too! Thanks to Tanaka for sending this!

Macross Frontier: Brera Sterne
The mysterious pilot of the crimson VF-27 variable fighter, Brera is a cyborg whose memories have been modified some time ago. The only thing he does remember from his past is Ranka's song "Aimo", the first part of which he can play with his harmonica. He is very protective of Ranka but is uncertain with the reason behind his actions.
Beautiful cosplay and wonderful photography once again by Hexlord! I wonder if the cosplayer actually has a harmonica or is just posed to appear as if s/he has one? Thanks to Joanne for sending this in!

Macross Frontier: Ranka Lee and Sheryl Nome
MoeHaku certainly has a lot of great looking cosplays.
I could be wrong, but I think these two are probably from Macross Frontier; Ranka Lee and Sheryl Nome respectively, minus the anime-colored hair. Since I'm not entirely sure, I decided to put them in the Unknown Section for now and see what you guys think.
Thanks to Macabre-hime for sending this in!
EDIT: Thank to Afiqah

OkashiiCon
Our first goal: filling the wardrobe and getting something to eat. And since I hadn't finished my cosplay we were all going casual. After eating we split up and watch what was happening in all the rooms and played games. I got to sit down to finish my cosplay, or at least what I could do there. I sewed on a pair of shoulderstaps, so it wouldn't slip off me, and got some crystals at the skirt. That took me a couple of hours. To keep me occupied during this time, I was hoping for the gamerz to come, and talked to many people. Nothing to do on your convention, talk a bit!
And that was I did in the morning. So in my nearly finished Ranka Lee cosplay I went around the convention with a Orihime (later transformed to Kira Izuri), a schoolgirl and a lolita. I guess we made a grand view on McDonalds when it was time for breakfast. After that it was time to get shopping at Scince Fiction Bokhandeln for a bit of manga.
The rest of the day was talking to random people, playing games, stalking Gin Ichimaru and just having fun. In the night it was time for the cosplay-showoff. I was standing filming and had a hard time standing still, since I was laughing so hard. Then my battery ended, and I stopped worrying about that and just watched. It wasn't so many entries but they were all funny, hilarious or just great. There was only one serious skit, and my friend told me it was just like the character since I haven't seen that anime. Of cause it was Hetalia that toped the popularity-chart, but there were many different cosplayers and I loved the D.N.Angels-cosplayers.
Wishes for the next time: a quiet sleepingroom and that it coming back next year, because it was really fun. Now for some pictures:

Macross Frontier: Ranka Lee
Suffering from post-traumatic stress syndrome as she witnessed the destruction of the 117th Long Distance Research Fleet where her family perished, Ranka Lee is one-quarter Zentradi, which allows her to move her hair based on her emotions and above-average resistance to the vacuum of space. She becomes the adopted younger sister of S.M.S. ace, Ozma Lee and is later discovered in a Miss Macross Contest. She idolizes Sheryl Nome and dreamed of becoming a singer ever since she was young.
Such a cute Ranka! Though I doubt any cosplayer can make their hair or wig move depending on what they're feeling. Unless Japan has developed something like that, which is highly likely! Thanks to Recca for sending this in!
